Monroe Township EMS Crew Herds 20 Goats Off Perrineville Road, and a Corn Bucket Takes the Credit

Two Monroe Township EMTs found about 20 goats on Perrineville Road and moved them off the pavement. Then the owner shook a bucket of corn, and the goats went home like it was nothing.

I didn't know an ambulance crew could get called up as sheepdogs. In Monroe, it can.

Here's what happened. On Oct. 13, around 6:30 p.m., the crew of Monroe Township EMS Ambulance 513 was driving back from CentraState Hospital in Freehold when they ran into roughly 20 goats strolling on Perrineville Road near Route 522, according to the agency's own social post, which News 12 New Jersey reported.

Twenty goats. One goat is a surprise. Twenty is a tour group, with one goat up front holding a little flag, everybody in matching lanyards, taking turns posing for photos in front of the Route 522 sign.
