Tenafly Halloween Display Turns the Knicks' Game 4 Tip-In Into a Skeleton Lawn

A Tenafly homeowner rebuilt OG Anunoby's Game 4 tip-in out of skeletons, with a 12-foot Wemby on hand and a pumpkin playing the ball. Every other Halloween lawn just got demoted.

I didn't know a front lawn could get promoted to an arena. Then a guy in Tenafly just turned the last few ticks of Game 4 of the 2026 Finals, the one the Knicks won, into a yard full of skeletons. Every player is bones. And the ball is a pumpkin. Most of what I know comes from the New York Post, and I read the pumpkin part twice.

Here's the scene. The Anunoby skeleton is up in the air for the tip. The Brunson skeleton is frozen in his follow-through. The scoreboard is stuck at 106-105. Spike Lee, Taylor Swift and Timothée Chalamet are all courtside, also skeletons. And towering over everybody, wearing Victor Wembanyama's Spurs jersey, stands a 12-foot skeleton.

He had a spare giant.

Where does a person even get a 12-foot skeleton? He told NBC New York, "We had an extra 12-foot skeleton sitting around." An extra. Normal people have a spare tire. This man has a spare giant. He's taller than a regulation basketball hoop. When he's out on the lawn, his shadow crosses three properties, and in my head the neighbors have started setting up their lawn chairs by where his skull lands, like the whole block runs on a skeleton sundial. "Meet you at the elbow around four."
