South Jersey Wawa Shake-Up: Ventnor, Winslow, Pole Tavern and a Voorhees Super Wawa

Ventnor's Wawa went dark for renovations, Winslow's grand opening got pushed, Pole Tavern's old store is being rebuilt and Voorhees approved a super Wawa. I've started following this like it's a sports season.

A panicked worker moves tiny convenience stores around a giant South Jersey map like game pieces as one store crumbles.

I used to think a convenience store was a place you stopped at. In South Jersey, it's a place you follow.

This fall, four South Jersey Wawas all made news at once. One went dark for a makeover, one grand opening got pushed back, a 50-year-old store is being rebuilt from the ground up, and a brand-new super Wawa got the green light.

Four Wawa storylines in one fall. That's a full TV season. Ventnor is the episode where a main character goes away for a while and comes back with a new look. Winslow is the cliffhanger. Pole Tavern is the flashback. Voorhees is the finale.
